Today was a day off from shooting, answering emails or phone calls, but I couldn’t help to write a little something on the blog to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day. But most importantly I wanted to give thanks to those loved ones overseas that provide us with the freedom that some times we take for granted. If a little rain ruined your BBQ this weekend then consider yourself lucky to have such an insignificant worry in your life and be thankful to those who this weekend had neither the barbecue nor the rain in a desert half a world away. One of my best friends left to Iraq two months ago and we just heard from him saying he was well, sent some pictures and a small list requesting some items. At the top of the list was Baby Wipes because he hadn’t been able to shower in 10 days, and foot powder because the boots were destroying his feet as they walked across the desert. So I hope this puts things into perspective for those reading this blog. Be thankful for the freedom and commodities we enjoy on a daily basis, but be humbled by those that have neither.

To all of you soldiers out there risking your lives everyday, you make us all very proud and we look forward to the day that you can come home and join your families and enjoy an barbecue on a rainy day
